"Get Ready"

Life never goes as planned,
but who the hell cares,
Just know that when you land
You gotta be ready for the stares.
It's all in the eyes, the haters and nay sayers
those who don't believe along with passive spectators
They watch paralyzed, fearful of information
Covering their ears, mouths, and eyes, content in their incubators.
Season's change and we know nothing stays the same
So as you stick to old ways, your crisis will remain
Sheilds up, they watching, let us hold steady
We always look for peace, but get your swords ready!
The journey may not always go your way or as you have planned
The confirmation comes from on high, not from Man.
"Man" stands for not just a man, but for a woman as well
We are not exempt, as we know, our time will tell
How "we" work our magic, for "we" are the more complex
We have such greater powers, but can use them out of context.
We hoot and we holla, just to be heard!
All the while screeching, never listening to the words!
We hear what we want to hear, never get the complete concept
We rant and rave, til old age has crept.
Before we realized, life has passed us by
desperation shows with not much time to fly.
Get in where you fit in, in order to rediscover your purpose
Believers without the "buts", leave no time to interpret
Some may not UNDERSDTAND, some STANDOVER in judgment
Gotta keep it movin'
not matter what,
those are the ones stagnant.
My motivation comes from many things here on this earth.
My purpose is to share my gifts,
I've learned a great deal since birth.
I just look like this, and many of you can never tell
by my physical, so you say what the hell
is she talking 'bout, she ain't been through nothing!
She look young as hell, she'on know nothing 'bout struggling!
I have had only pennies, but then at the drop of a dime,
My life had to change and I had to be ready everytime....
